La Venida, "The Coming" in Spanish, is in Balicaocao, Kabankalan!

We are watching the tree's grow and bear fruit, the flowers bloom and the birds find their homes...

We are open Wednesday to Sunday 07:00 to 17:00

Closed Mondays and Tuesday for ground maintenance (unless prior agreement/reservations have been made)

​

You may bring your own food and drink and have a picnic.  Fee's will apply for the use of tables and chairs, picnic mat and other facilities.

​

We charge entrance fee

Adults are ₱100

Children under 12 are ₱50

​

Free Parking and clean toilets available on site

​

All we ask is you dispose of you trash in the bins provided.

Views

 

Take time to enjoy the amazing views of Kabankalan.  You can see the sea and Mount Canlaon on a clear day.

The views change throughout the day, the sun is amazing as it sets over the Panay Gulf

We are continually developing our grounds with areas to sit, relax and take in your surroundings

Family
​

Say hello to our extended family (the chickens and many Guinea fowls roaming the grounds).  You may even get a glimpse of George the grumpy goose

Stations of the Cross

 

Take some time to reflect and walk the Stations of the Cross.

The Stations themselves have historic meaning to us and have come from Saint Anselm's Church (now closed) in the United Kingdom

Mag-aso Falls / Leisure Camp
​

Mag-aso Falls is a 20 minute drive from the city proper, with a large mountain backdrop.  Mag-aso Falls releases  smoke-like shower of mist as it cascades down to the natural pool with its turquoise green water.  A newly constructer swimming pool is also available.

​

Sinulog at Kabankalan
​

Considered a top tourist attraction in Kabankalan.  Started in 1976 it is the enriched version of the Ati-atihan Festival.  Given a distinct Kabankalan flavour, it is celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January.

​

Sinulog is a tribal war dance engaged by ancient population of the place now known as Kabankalan, todays seat of commerce and trade in Southern Negros Occidental.

​

Todays festival is keeping the cultural heritage of Kabankalans as thousands join in the pageantry of vibrant colours, creativity and rhythmic sounds and movements.

Balicaocao
​

Gently nestled on the hill more than 500 feet above sea level, Balicaocao offers perfect ambiance for rest and leisure while taking a breathtaking view and panorama of the coastal towns of Southern Negros Occidental, the blue waters of Panay Gulf and the Island-Province of Guimaras.  It has one pavilion, three cottages, shed houses, swimming pool and cooking area.

 

A perfect place to watch the beautiful sunset while relaxing or having a bbq/picnic.

Food/Shopping
​

There is something for everyone in the local area, from fast food restaurants like Jollibee & McDonalds to Philippine cuisine in restaurants like Chicken House, Melting Pot & Perico.

​

There is a Gaisano Grand and City Mall shopping centres where you can buy everything you need for a comfortable visit, from groceries to clothes and gifts.  There is also the vibrant market with a variety of stalls ands goods from local fruit and vegetables to fresh fish, caught that day.

Udlom Cave
​

Reachable after an hour walk through an almost arid river bed in summertime, Udlom Cave lies hidden amidst boulders whose high and wide opening lords over an ever-flowing stream and where inner walls reveals varied rock formations, caused by continuous droppings.

Carol-An Valley Homeland of indigenous people ruled by its legendary chief Manyabog whose death led to the infamous tribal suicide.  First settlement of the new City of Kabankalan

Mag-aso Cave Situated within the Balicaocao watershed, Mag-aso Cave invites spelunkers for adventure, the rewarding challenging in cave exploration.  The cave spans 436 metres long and 194 metres deep, making it one of the deepest caves in the country.

​

Agustina Falls A natural pool formed by the yearly inundation of water.  Agustina tells of a mythical lady who was enchanted by a black bird in whose name by the pool was attributed.
